A re-elected Cook Labor Government will deliver a major $30 million redevelopment of Como Secondary College—ensuring local students have access to state-of-the-art facilities for years to come.
The significant investment will commence Stage 1 upgrades, developed in close consultation with the school community. This marks the first major redevelopment for Como since it was built in 1969, addressing long-overdue infrastructure needs and modernising learning spaces for its 800 students.
This $30 million commitment builds on the Cook Labor Government’s ongoing investment in the school, which has already included:
- $650,000 allocated in the 2024-25 State Budget for planning towards future upgrades.
- $1 million for canteen and multipurpose area refurbishments, including the new Maali Café.
- $600,000 for a STEM learning space.
- $300,000 for car park improvements.
Como Secondary College is a fantastic local school with a proud history, but it’s long overdue for an upgrade.
I’ve fought hard to secure this investment, and I’m thrilled that a re-elected Cook Labor Government will deliver these much-needed improvements.
