Tricia the elephant captured the hearts of Perth, and it’s fitting her final resting place will be in the heart of Perth Zoo. 

A private ceremony will be held where her ashes will be scattered under a 15-metre Jacaranda tree, now officially dubbed "Tricia's tree".

The site near the main lawn has special significance, being one of Tricia's favourite places when she regularly walked the grounds and celebrated her birthdays.
