2026 WA Student Assistance Payment

The WA Student Assistance Payment is returning in 2026 to help families with school expenses.

Payment amount

  • $150 per child (Kindy and primary)
  • $250 per child (secondary)

How to claim

  • Claims open 20 July 2026
  • Claim via the ServiceWA app using your Digital ID

Check back here after 20 July for the steps to make your claim!

Other claim options will be available through the Department of Education.

Eligibility

Available to parents and carers of eligible students from Kindergarten to Year 12, including public, non-government, home-educated and approved care arrangements.

You’ll need the student’s WA Student Number (WASN) to claim.

When to claim

From 20 July 2026.
